Role Description
Team Primary Formation
3-5-2 (RWB, RCB, LCB, LWB, RM, CM, LM, CF, CF)
Philosophy:
Safe and reliable defending by being compact, communicative and organized in cover. Possession based midfield control with medium tempo passing and quick charge attack utilizing striker’s dribbling skills.

Key instructions:
1. Stay calm and relaxed for better decision making
2. Stick to your role. Don’t try anything fancy.
3. Don’t lose position
4. Communicate to the central person in your zone always to align
5. Avoid fouls such as late challenges, handballs, pushing/shoving/shirt pulling or high feet challenges.

1 Judah Jebadas – Goal Keeper
Primary Responsibility: Shot stopping. Sweeper
Additional responsibility: Align defensive organization. Start attack/counter attack movement by ball distribution

9 Shane – Right Wing Back
Ensure solid defense and prevent opponent from using the flanks in attack and prevent or block crosses.
In defensive set piece situations, try to utilize height to head away ball to safety.
Avoid back passes or passes to fellow defenders across unless absolutely safe or necessary.
Going forward supply ball to central midfield (Sumanth)
In attacking set piece situations try to get into positions to utilize height and head ball towards goal.
In counter attacking mode use pace and strength and dribbling to make overlapping runs along with RM (Bunty)

15 Anton – Right Centre Back
Ensure solid defense and prevent opponent from cutting in from the flanks in attack and prevent or block crosses. Mark the LF/LW of the opponent
Go for second defender contain to stop attacks.
In defensive set piece situations, try to utilize height to head away ball to safety.
In clearance preferences are as follows: pass to team mate, concede throw in and concede corner
Avoid back passes or passes to fellow defenders across unless absolutely safe or necessary.
Going forward supply ball to central midfield (Sumanth)

4 Jerric Jeeva – Centre Back
Primary Responsibility:
Ensure solid defense and prevent opponent from cutting in from the flanks in attack and prevent or block crosses. Mark the Striker of the opponent
Align with Goalkeeper to position the defensive line for attack from any route
Be the first defender to contain any attack in defensive one third. Call for back up when necessary
In defensive set piece situations, try to utilize height to head away ball to safety.
In clearance preferences are as follows: pass to team mate, concede throw in and concede corner
Avoid back passes to goalie unless absolutely safe or asked to by the goalie.
Going forward supply ball to central midfield (Sumanth) and at times long pass to the wings.
Additional Responsibility: Ensure defensive positional organization and communication between the wings.

2 Alex – Left Centre Back
Ensure solid defense and prevent opponent from cutting in from the flanks in attack and prevent or block crosses. Mark the RF/RW of the opponent. Go for second defender contain to stop attacks.
In defensive set piece situations, try to utilize height to head away ball to safety. In clearance preferences are as follows: pass to team mate, concede throw in and concede corner.
Avoid back passes or passes to fellow defenders across unless absolutely safe or necessary.

5 Arun Immanuel – Left Wing Back
Responsibility:
Ensure solid defense and prevent opponent from cutting in from the flanks in attack and prevent or block crosses. Mark the RF/RW of the opponent
Go for second defender contain to stop attacks.
In defensive set piece situations, try to utilize height to head away ball to safety.
In clearance preferences are as follows: pass to team mate, concede throw in and concede corner
Avoid back passes or passes to fellow defenders across unless absolutely safe or necessary.

17 Sumanth – Central Midfielder
Primary Responsibility
Be the Playmaker. Ensure possession with intent and steady build up play to provide key passes to attackers that can lead to goals.
Avoid ball losses and if lost, ensure high pressing is done to intercept and possession is regained before any serious attack is mounted by the opponent.
Provide backup to defenders as second contain or for latching on to second balls and mount counter attack
Additional Responsibility:
Link up communication between a) midfielders b) defense and attack.

6 Andrew (Bunty) – Right Midfielder
Responsibility:
Play a wide right midfielder role and use pace and dribbling to make attacking runs on the right wing, curl in crosses into the box or cut inside and go for shooting or passed assist opportunities.
In defense, provide defensive protection along the flanks and compress play in the opponents half

11 Dawna – Left Midfielder
Responsibility:
Play a wide left midfielder role and use pace and dribbling to make attacking runs on the left wing, curl in crosses into the box or cut inside and go for shooting or passed assist opportunities.
In defense, provide defensive protection along the flanks and compress play in the opponents half

7 Richard – Centre Forward
Responsibility:
Play as the Target Man. Hold play up in attack, receive long balls use height and strength in set piece and crowded penalty box scenarios. Draw marking defenders away and provide ball to striker for finishing. Attempt long shots when in striking range and the probability of passing to striker is less.
Additional Responsibility:
Link up communication between midfield and attack

10 Ashwanth – Centre Forward
Responsibility:
Score goals. Play a typical No: 10 role using pace, dribbling, vision, creativity and passing ability. Play ‘in the hole’, confuse the defenders and either score goals or create unmarked scenarios for the other CF (Richard) or the wingers from striking range.
