The two BIG ideas shaping the business world today are the power of digital and the spurt in entrepreneurship.. The amalgamation of these potential filled ideas is a risky venture but a few succeed and sustain and are therefore laudable. doodleblue Innovations is one such venture.
The making of…
Atishe, an entrepreneur at heart, loved creating enriching product experiences. An established family business in finance didn’t satiate. He ventured out and graduated from the acclaimed Carnegie Mellon University with majors in Mechanical Engineering, Economics and Statistics. He learnt business acumen as well as technological product expertise during his stint at a software consulting firm in New York that built advanced technology platforms. In 2011, He along with his sister Nishyta, founded doodleblue as a small firm offering design services.
The metamorphosis
doodleblue started as a boutique design company that made high quality website design and office stationery. Even as a two-member team, Atishe and Nishyta ensured that their products were of the highest quality. Atishe focused on business development, talent acquisition and project management while Nishyta took care of the creative aspects. The addition of Hemant Chordia added impetus to its HRM, communication and networking. Creativity was the byword.
The road less travelled by
doodleblue stands out for its out-of-the-box thinking even in its nomenclature. Atishe, on the idea behind the name stated that doodleblue serves “designs or doodles out of the blue!… ‘doodle’ represents creativity.” He also points out that the ‘d’ in doodleblue is always in lowercase as a symbol of quirkiness and that the inclusion of ‘Blue’ was random. This naturally translated into vibrant and energetic people, place, and products.
Taking Wings
Atishe cites the open door opportunity for entrepreneurs through technology and it was put into practice when the company ventured into mobile app development in early 2013. Its emphasis on R&D keeps delivery quality and client level optimization competitive. It has developed software and API for Google Glass as an ‘explorer’ and has worked on cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality among others. At doodleblue ‘embracing digital’ augurs for a greener future as well.
Flying High
Today, doodleblue is a boutique creative technology solutions consulting firm that has successfully completed over 900 projects with clients in over 45 countries. They see themselves as a Creative Technology Partner that provides high-end quality services to its clients including marquee names in education, consumer goods, health and media industries predominantly in North America and EU.
The meteoric rise of doodleblue as a service provider with high end deliverables and an enviable clientele excites an entrepreneur to success to which Atishe’s advice of “enjoy what you do” complements. A remarkable journey of how technology can give colour to innovation indeed.
